We also love Instagram. We combined the two and found seven local businesses you should be following on Instagram if you love JP.

1. Juicy Greens | @juicygreens

The tropical vibes of Latin music greet you as you walk through the doors of Juicy Green's JP.  This has been a go-to spot for lunch since they opened and I've tried a good part of the menu.  My favorites are the Power JP, Fresh Detox and Mind Booster smoothies along with either the Power Caesar or Zen bowls.

2. Salmagundi | @salmagundiboston

It's that simple ... Do you love hats?  Then you need to drop by Salmagundi on Centre St in JP.  Done!

3. JP Licks| @jplicks

It's no secret that my favorite choice of food here is either pistachio ice cream or their Yogurt X.  But the surprise here is their coffee, and my all-time favorite, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe.  Ask folks who know me, and they probably have all tasted this coffee at my home because it's all I buy. Addictive ice cream flavors and excellent freshly roasted coffee beans!

4. Row House Lovejoy Wharf | @rowhouselovejoywharf

Ok so ... Row House Lovejoy Wharf isn't in Jamaica Plain; however, the owners, Gyee & Rob are great friends and long-time JP homeowners, and they deserve a shout out here.

5. Polkadog Bakery | @polkadogbakery

It's a dog's world in JP, so you need a cool place to buy dog stuff.  Polkadog Bakery is the place!

6. Brassica Kitchen | @brassicakitchen

Café by day, supper and cocktails by night.  They have two of "the best I've had in a long time" things on the menu, cold brew coffee, and the fried chicken herb slaw, maple umeboshi, lime is to die for!
